Ferris® at Koenig Equipment

Ferris parts & service

The part of owning a machine that decides whether you buy the same brand again. Parts counter, service bay and factory-trained technicians in the same building you bought it from.

Wear parts

What we keep on the shelf

A mower does not fail in interesting ways. It fails on blades, belts, filters, spindles and bearings, almost always in the middle of the season, almost always on the day you have the least slack. Those are the parts we stock.

  • Blades — standard, high-lift and mulching
  • Deck and drive belts
  • Air, oil and fuel filters
  • Spindles, bearings and pulleys
  • Caster wheels and tyres

Service

What we do in the bay

  • Scheduled service against your hour meter, not the calendar
  • Deck levelling and blade balancing — the cheapest fix for a bad-looking cut
  • Suspension inspection on suspended units
  • Warranty work, including the 10-year suspension warranty
  • Off-season service so you are not queueing in May

Why Oil Guard changes the schedule

Manuals

Finding your manual

Ferris publishes operator and parts manuals by model and serial number. Bring us the data plate numbers and we will pull the right one — or save yourself the step and ask us directly, because the commonest reason people need a manual is a part number, and we can just give you the part.

Common questions

Parts & service

How do I find the part number for my Ferris?
Start with the model and serial number on the machine's data plate — usually on the frame under the seat or on the deck. Bring us that and we can identify any part on the machine. Ferris's own parts lookup works from the same numbers.
Do you stock Ferris parts, or do they have to be ordered?
We stock the wear parts a working machine actually needs — blades, belts, filters, spindles and bearings — across our stores. Less common parts we order, and we will tell you the honest lead time rather than a hopeful one.
How often does a Ferris need servicing?
It depends on the machine and the hours. Vanguard engines with the Oil Guard system run 500 hours between oil changes rather than the usual 100, which changes the schedule significantly. Deck, spindle and belt intervals are separate from the engine's. We will set a schedule against your actual hours when you buy.
Can you service a Ferris I did not buy from you?
Yes. Our technicians are factory-trained on Ferris and on the Vanguard and Kawasaki engines in them.
What about winter service?
Book it in the off-season. A machine that comes in during January comes back ready for the first cut; a machine that comes in during May competes with everyone else's emergency. This is the single easiest way to avoid downtime in your busiest month.
Do you handle Ferris warranty work?
Yes, including the 10-year suspension warranty on eligible units. Warranty claims go through the store, so you are dealing with the same people who sold you the machine.
