The cutting system

What the property looks like after you leave

The deck is where the machine meets the work. Ferris’s iCD™ deck geometry is built for airflow and discharge as much as for cutting.

Airflow is what separates a cut from a finish

Especially in wet grass, and especially in the growth flush.

A deck has to lift the grass before it cuts it and then move the clipping out without recutting it into a clump. The iCD™ deck is shaped and pitched to keep that air moving, which is what makes the difference visible in the spring flush and in grass that is still damp.

It also matters on the trailer: a deck that clears properly needs less time cleaned out at the end of the day, and blades that are not fighting recut material stay sharp for longer.

What it changes for you

Wet grass
Clears rather than clumping and streaking.
Striping
A finish worth photographing on a client property.
End of day
Less cleaning out, fewer blade changes.

The honest version

Deck width is chosen against gates, not acreage

The best cutting system in the world is the wrong one if it does not fit through the narrowest opening on the property. Measure that first and the shortlist gets short fast.

  • Ride one on the ground you actually cut
  • Bring the operator who will be on it all day
  • Ask us what breaks on these, and we will tell you
