Ferris publishes a productivity chart that multiplies deck width by ground speed to give acres per hour. It is a fair way to compare two machines on the same basis, and we will run it with you for the models you are choosing between.
Why the real number is lower
Nobody mows at full speed. Trees, beds, turns, gates, trimming and transport all take time that the chart does not know about. The gap between the chart and the day is biggest on the most complicated properties.
Where suspension shows up in the maths
The chart assumes you can hold the speed. On rough ground an unsuspended machine slows down because the operator slows it down — so suspension does not just make the day more comfortable, it is what lets you actually reach the number.
